Our school is comprised of students in grades Prek-8. We introduced our PreK in September 2002. Our current student population is approximately 175. Our students come from 9 different communities in Northern Westchester and are a varied and multicultural group. We rejoice in the diversity in our midst.
Currently, students come from Bedford, Pound Ridge, Mount Kisco, Armonk, Chappaqua, South Salem, North Salem, Somers, Yorktown, Thornwood, Pleasantville, Stamford and Greenwich Connecticut.
Our school day begins at 8:00 and ends at 2:30. We follow the calendar of the Archdiocese of New York. While our students are diverse in ability, we strive to work with each student to bring them up to their potential. We offer Honors Math, Spanish in grades 1-8, writing across the curriculum in all grades and other enrichment opportunities in the various subjects. Our students are published each year in the National Poets Anthology, participate in the John's Hopkins Talent Search programs, Women in Science, Iona Prep Math Olympiad, Leadership Institute in Washington, Land Use Symposium and in many other challenging competitions, as well as our own Student Government. This year we started a Latin Club for 6th, 7th and 8th graders.
We have a resident reading specialist who works with children and their teachers in reading strategies. We utilize the services offered by the individual districts for those students who demonstrate a learning disability or other special physical or emotional need. We work closely with the local district support staff for the benefit of each student.
