St. Patrick's School prides itself in the all encompassing faith experience to which our children are exposed and involved. We begin our day together in the auditorium with each class taking a month in which to lead morning prayer. We pray, we Pledge allegiance to the Flag and we sing a patriotic song each day as a community. We also pray for those who request our prayers. Service projects are undertaken all through the year by each of the grades and include feeding the hungry, clothing the poor, sending needed items to those in prison or in nursing homes, writing to our armed services personnel and sending them care packages and collecting supplies for unwed mothers and their babies. We also collect money for the missions in third world countries.
We attend First Friday Mass together, hold prayer services and reconciliation services at various Seasons of the Church year. Our second graders are prepared for the reception of the sacraments of Reconciliation and First Eucharist and our eighth graders receive the sacrament of Confirmation.
Academically, St. Patrick's School is consistently above average in all academic areas and standardized tests and our students score very high in all areas on the the ITBS standardized tests administered by the Archdiocese. Our students are published each year in the National Poets Anthology, participate in the John's Hopkins Talent Search programs, Women in Science, Iona Prep Math Olympiad, Leadership Institute in Washington, Land Use Symposium and in many other challenging competitions.
